The World Coming to Play Baseball in the Palm Beaches

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission announces “The World Comes to The Palm Beaches", an international baseball tournament, which will take place at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach from November 2-5, 2017. The Caribbean Baseball Organization, which also hosts the Palm Beach Collegiate and International Baseball Festival at the Santaluces Athletic Complex in February, invited 15 global teams and will present the inaugural international baseball event at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. 

The participating nations will send their national team or a club team to compete on this world stage. Each team is guaranteed to play in a minimum of five (5) games. The tournament will feature an 18 and under & 18 and over division in addition to a 15 and under youth bracket. Participating teams will travel from three (3) continents and represent nations such as the United States, Canada, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Cayman Islands, Russia, Jamaica, Venezuela and Panama. The tournament begins on November 2nd at 3:30 pm and will conclude with the Championship Games on Sunday, November 5th at 10:30 am.

“The Palm Beach County Sports Commission is thrilled to partner with The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches and the Caribbean Baseball Organization to bring this new international baseball tournament to Palm Beach County,” said George Linley, Palm Beach County Sports Commission Executive Director. “The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches is a major vehicle for sports tourism from both a national and international perspective.” Mario Signorello, President of Caribbean Baseball Organization stated,“In my 25 years in the sports promotion business I have never been more excited for an inaugural event. The International baseball community will be playing in The Palm Beaches and will provide an exciting baseball atmosphere for the local community.”
