Registration is now open for the 2026 Sunshine State Games Figure Skating Championships to be held May 14-17, 2026, at Advent Health Center Ice, in Wesley Chapel.
Entry Fees vary by the event skill levels and the registration deadline is Midnight on Friday, April 17. Registration, through the EntryEeze system and competition information can be found at www.sunshinestategames.com/figure-skating.
The 2026 Sunshine State Games is a qualifier for the 2026 State Games of America, to be held in State College, Pennsylvania, July 29-August 2. All gold, silver and bronze medalists from the 2026 Sunshine State Games will qualify. Visit www.stategames.org for more information.
For 38 years, the Sunshine State Games Figure Skating Championships has offered opportunities for figure skaters as young as four years old beginning in the sport to teenagers who travel across the U.S. for national competitions.
Recently, Andrew Torgeshev, of Coral Springs advanced from beginning in the Sunshine State Games at four years old, in 2006, to competing in the 2026 Olympic Games.
Previous Sunshine State Games Figure Skating Championships have drawn over 300 athletes from clubs statewide.
The Sunshine State Games is a program of the Florida Sports Foundation, the official sports promotion and development organization of the State of Florida. Since 1980, the Games provide amateur sports opportunities for athletes of all ages in an Olympic-style Sports Festival.
