Florida Skating Academy cordially invites competitive roller skaters to participate in the 15th Annual Presidents’ Day Invitational which will be held on February 18th & 19th, 2017. Included in this packet, you will find the Fact Sheet, Requirements, Entry form, Hotel list and Star Skater information. A new category this year will be “Entertainment Creative Solo Dance.” (see flyer with information included)
On Friday, February 17th, there will be a controlled practice from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. The first 45 minutes will be for figures, followed by 90 minutes of dance. The final segment will be for singles and pairs. Admission is $8.00. Skaters may also register at this time.
Spinnations Skating Center also offers a weekly public session on Thursday mornings which features organ music and dance specials. Session time is 10:00am to 12:30pm. Admission is $7.00 per skater and $3.00 per spectator. Preceding the session is a Bronze level dance class from 9:00 to 9:45am with a $3.00 admission.
There are three hotels to accommodate visiting skaters this year. As February is peak travel time in Florida, reservations should be made as soon as possible using the hotel listing information in order to receive the group discounted rates. Please note the cut-off date for reservations. For air travel, Tampa International and St. Pete/ Clearwater Airport are both within an hour’s drive.
