The inaugural Lou Groza Award Flag Football Banquet will take place on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Debbie Lindstrom and Bob Sheetz Owl Perch, located within the FAU Schmidt Family Complex.
Inspired by the legacy of Lou Groza and the prestigious collegiate award that bears his name, this event honors excellence across a new era of the game—flag football. While rooted in tradition, the focus of the evening is on celebrating the continued growth and rising impact of the sport throughout The Palm Beaches.
The event will recognize High School Team of the Year, Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, highlighting the athletes, teams, and leaders driving the sport forward locally.

James Cortese — Palm Beach Central High School
As flag football continues to surge in popularity, this inaugural event serves as a milestone moment—bringing the community together to celebrate its success and future.
