Got a budding athlete on your home-sweet-home team? Maybe you were a high school sports hero and want to see what today’s youth bring to the game. You’ll find answers and motivation as a spectator at the many spring sporting events coming to Seminole County. Here’s a sampling of some of the action you can catch…

Now–March 18 – THE Spring Games – the world’s largest college softball event for 13 years running comes to Seminole County for the first time in 2020! Boombah Soldiers Creek Park was selected as a host facility for 3 straight weekends of Division 1 college softball action, featuring the 2018 National Champion Florida State Seminoles. This event was founded in 2008 by 2-time Olympian and Central Florida native, Dot Richardson. For game information and tickets, visit www.THESpringGames.com

March 15-20 – Returning for their 2nd year in Seminole County is the Prep Baseball Report Canadian Spring Training. This event draws baseball teams down from Canada looking to get out of the cold and enjoy the Florida sunshine while they train. This year’s event will see the county host 30+ teams expected to generate over 1,000 hotel rooms for Seminole County. Location: BOOMBAH Sports Complex. Organized by: Prep Baseball Report

March 30-April 2ndProspect Dugout Atlantic League Pro Mini Camp - We are excited to host for the 1st time, the Prospect Dugout Atlantic League Pro Mini Camp. This camp will allow major league baseball prospects the opportunity to showcase their skills in front on MLB scouts, with the hopes of earning a major league contract. We expect to bring in over 180 players, 30+ scouts and 20 coaches to Seminole County. Location: BOOMAH Sports Complex. Organized by Prospect Dugout. March 7–27 – HoganLax Florida Team Lacrosse Training – 21 elite level high school boys lacrosse teams from the Northeast will descend upon Seminole County to compete in exhibition games for 3 weeks at the Boombah Sports Complex. HoganLax provides developmental opportunities for lacrosse players and coaches through hosting tournaments, club teams, and team trainings. This event allows teams to escape to sunny central Florida to compete over spring break and enjoy everything Seminole County has to offer. April 4-5 – USSSA Central Florida Fastpitch Elite Select – 35 of the state’s top fast pitch softball teams will battle it out in Seminole County at Boombah Soldiers Creek Park and the Seminole Softball Complex for USSSA’s annual Spring event. This tournament is expected to bring in approximately 1,200 visitors to the destination and drive around $200,000 in local economic impact to Seminole County. April 27-May 1- FHSAA High School State Tennis Championships- We are proud to welcome back the FHSAA High School State Tennis Championships back to Seminole County. In partnership with the Greater Orlando Sports Commission we are excited to welcome back the 60+ teams and 400+ athletes from across the state as they compete for the State Championship. May 2-3- Perfect Game Youth Florida State Baseball Championship -- A staple in our yearly calendar is the Perfect Game Youth Florida State Championship and this year is no different. Every year we look forward to hosting this youth baseball event at that brings in over 70 teams from across the state generating over 500 hotel room nights for Seminole County.  Location: Boombah Sports Complex. May 7-10 – 2020 FCSAA/NJCAA State Softball Tournament – Orlando North, Seminole County Sports is proud to partner once again with Seminole State College to welcome back for the 3rd straight year the Junior College State Softball Championships to Seminole County. The event will feature the top 8 junior college softball programs in the state of this prestigious tournament as they battle it out to determine who will be crowned State Champion. Boombah Soldiers Creek park will once again host Florida’s most elite junior college players for another exciting weekend of top-level fastpitch softball action. May 29-31 – Atlantic Coast Baseball Cap Classic returns for its 3rd consecutive year! This event is expected to welcome in over 70 baseball teams from across the mid-Atlantic and Southeast to Seminole County, generating over 400 room nights for Seminole County.
