Florida Citrus Sports to Host Two-Day Virtual Collegiate Esports Symposium

Florida Citrus Sports will host a two-day virtual symposium on collegiate esports with the support of Full Sail University, the University of Central Florida’s esports program, and a notable list of executives and stakeholders.  

The free two-day, 10-hour online event will take place Feb. 18 – 19 from 1-5 p.m. EST each day.

What’s notable about the symposium is the participants including eFuse Chief Revenue Officer Neil Duffy, Activision Blizzard Lead Project Manager for Esports Erin Eberhardt, Twitch Scholastic Program Manager Kevin Hoang, Hitmarker Managing Director Richard Huggan, Misfits Gaming Group President John Kracum, FACEIT Director of Collegiate Esports Duran Parsi, The Yard: HBCU Esports Alliance Commissioner Dr. Marc Williams, Varsity Esports Foundation Executive Director Bubba Gaeddert, former UCEA President Victoria Horsley, Dr. Lindsey Migliore (GamerDoc), Director at UCI Esports and Commissioner at North American Scholastic Esports Federation Mark Deppe, Boise State Esports Coach Doc Haskell, Mountain West Conference Senior Associate Commissioner Carolayne Henry, Grand View University Esports Director Dana Hustedt, Park University esports Coach Ashley “AJ” Jones, and Tampa Association of Gaming President Marcus Howard.

The online event will feature panel discussions on events, program administration & development, post-college careers, and health & wellness, and more. There will also be breakout networking sessions at the end of both days.

Florida Citrus Sports describes itself as a “not-for-profit event management organization dedicated to positively impacting the Orlando region” through events such as sports, entertainment, and esports.
