Boca Raton Bowl Announced December 23 for Inaugural Game

ESPN Events Owned and Operated Game to be Played at FAU Stadium

The first edition of the Boca Raton Bowl is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 23, at 6 p.m. ET. The inaugural game will be televised on ESPN and played at FAU Stadium on the campus of Florida Atlantic University.

“There is a high level of excitement for the new Boca Raton Bowl," said Doug Mosley, Boca Raton Bowl, executive director. "We have a beautiful venue in FAU Stadium and a very engaged community in Palm Beach County. We're looking forward to a first-class event for the participating teams, the fans and the ESPN viewing audience.”

The Mid-American Conference, Conference USA and American Athletic Conference are the affiliated conferences for the Boca Raton Bowl. The MAC and C-USA are slated to appear in the first game this December.

FAU Stadium opened in 2011 and seats 29,419.

The Boca Raton Bowl is one of 11 owned and operated bowl games by ESPN Events, a subsidiary of ESPN.
