Army Ten-Miler (ATM) has added an Army-Navy Challenge option for runners, celebrating one of America’s most iconic rivalries – while honoring the 250th birthdays for both military branches this year. Participants can enter the Army-Navy Challenge during registration – GO Army or GO Navy – and will receive a special pin demonstrating patriotism and support for their favorite military branch.

Returning to the nation’s capital on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, the 10-mile road race is open to the public, active-duty military, veterans, retirees, reservists, and all others aged 13-years and up. Individual runners who have already registered are able to update their registration to add the Army-Navy Challenge.

Individual registration is $99 (plus processing fees), and includes the official, long-sleeved technical race shirt and a finisher medal. Registration is also open for both the 2025 In-Person Youth Run (a non-competitive 400m run for children aged 12-and-under) and the 2025 Virtual Army Ten-Miler Race (offered on a first-come, first-served basis). Runners may also purchase tickets for the General Dynamics Pasta Dinner for $43 (plus processing fees), returning to the Crystal Gateway Marriott.

“We softly launched the Army Ten-Miler’s Army-Navy Challenge in the past week and noticed immediate interest, with more than 1330 runners already signing up,” said Army Ten-Miler Deputy Race Director Maida Johnson. “The thousands of people who have previously registered also have the opportunity to add this challenge to their race profile.”

Runners will collect their Army-Navy Challenge pins at packet pick-up, along with their bibs, shirts and other race materials. The only ATM packet pick-up location will be at the DC Armory during the two-day ATM Expo on Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11. No race packets will be mailed, and there is no packet pick-up on race day.
