Canada to Kick Off National Celebration with 5K

Official Canada D'Eh 5K Run Is One of Largest Recreational Sports Events in Canada

The Official Canada D'Eh 5K Run, one of the largest national recreational runs in Canada, kicks off the national birthday celebration on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 9:00 AM EST in Amherstburg, ON, Canada. The race is a part of the Historic Amherstburg official Canada Day Celebrations, and starts off a day filled with patriotic events.

A 5K run, 5K walk and kids’ run will be offered.

 The Start/Finish line is outside the main gates of Historic Fort Malden a Parks Canada site. The course proceeds up Laird around Tody Jones Park and down Dalhousie and back. The course is mostly waterfront, flat, fast and all historic. 

All finishers get a Canada D’Eh Run Maple Leaf collectors Medal along with Canada D’Eh Maple Leaf inspired red and white sublimated tech running socks.  This year’s medal features the likeness of Sir John A MacDonald, Canada’s first Prime Minister.
