Touching All the Bases in Placer Valley

Placer Valley Tourism has announced baseball and softball (and disc golf too) for this summer.

Little League All-Stars Tournament, July 19-26: Twin Oaks Park in Rocklin will be the home base for the 10U NorCal State Tournament that is taking place from July 19-26. Placer Valley Tourism is teaming up with Rocklin Little League to host this competitive All-Stars event that will showcase nearly 100 youth baseball players!  Teams from throughout Northern California will be arriving on Friday, July 19 and the first round of playoff games will start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 20. USA Softball National Championship, July 21-27: Summer and softball go hand in hand here in Placer Valley and we are gearing up for a week-long national tournament on July 21-27.  USA Softball of Sacramento will be hosting the USA Softball 14U Class A Girls Fastpitch National Championship at Maidu Park in Roseville and Foskett Park in Lincoln.  Teams are expected from many of the 50 states for this high-level competition. Games start at 9 a.m. each day and admission is free for all spectators so come see these incredible youth athletes in action!  For schedules and standings throughout the tournament click here.  

Rocklin Pro-Am, July 27-28:  The 5th Annual Rocklin Pro-Am Norcal Series Tournament is flying into Rocklin on July 27-28. With nearly 150 disc golfers competing they will be using two courses for this exciting event that takes place at Johnson Springview Park. In the professional division there are four competition tiers and only two spots currently open. The amateur divisions are all full and most have wait lists.  Clearly the competition will be fun and fierce!  Come on down and check it out! Information is here.
