A new era of sports and entertainment in Southern California is about to begin.
With the inaugural season of the Ontario Tower Buzzers (Buzzers) set to begin in April and the venue’s first major concert scheduled later this month, ONT Field is transitioning from development to activation. Together the events mark the next step in establishing the Ontario and the Ontario Sports Empire as a regional destination for sports, entertainment, and tourism.
Momentum has been building quickly. Tickets for the Buzzers’ Opening Day sold out in just 12 minutes. Opening Weekend has also sold out, underscoring strong early demand for professional baseball in Ontario.
The Buzzers, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Minor League affiliate, will play their first home game April 2. Before the season beings, ONT Field will host its first major public event March 21, a concert featuring The Avett Brothers and Dwight Yoakam.
The events will serve as the venue’s debut as a large-scale entertainment destination.
Designed as a flexible, multi-use venue, ONT Field will host concerts, festivals and community gatherings in addition to baseball throughout the year.
The stadium anchors the Ontario Sports Empire, a multi-phase sports and entertainment district designed to attract tournaments, visiting teams, and year-round tourism to the region. The complex will include a network of tournament-ready fields designed to host national and regional competitions across multiple sports.
Construction of those facilities is expected to be completed later this year, with the tournament complex anticipated to open in October 2026.
Additional amenities planned for the district include the Flight Tower Restaurant, a signature dining destination overlooking ONT Field expected to open in 2027, along with a nearby dual-branded Aloft and Residence Inn hotel intended to serve visiting teams, tournament participants, and travelers attending Ontario Sports Empire events.
City partners leading operations at the Ontario Sports Empire include Ontario Tower Buzzers General Manager Allan Benavides, ONT Field General Manager Ray Roa and Ontario Sports Empire General Manager Christopher Hirz. Together, they oversee team operations, stadium programing, and the broader sports complex, helping create a premier destination that draws visitors from across the country while serving families and athletes throughout Southern California.
