The Life Time Sea Otter Classic, billed as the world’s premier cycling festival, has unveiled a series of new events and courses ahead of its return to the Laguna Seca Raceway from April 16–19, 2026.

The four-day festival in Monterey, CA, attracts more than 1,000 brands and 70,000 attendees. While the Life Time Grand Prix brings professional off-road athletes to the event on Thursday, April 16, 2025, the 2026 schedule includes new additions designed for the wider cycling (and running) community.

New for the 2026 season is a Trail Run on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Taking place at 07:00 PDT, participants can choose between a 5km or 17km route through Fort Ord and the trails of Laguna Seca, finishing on the raceway track.

The MTB Enduro Stage Race is expanding to a two-day format. This year, the event will include technical sections at Toro Park, located 5 miles from the festival hub. For the first time, the Enduro will feature e-bike categories for men and women in both Open and Sport divisions. A shorter one-day, two-stage option will also be available, combining the Downhill and Dual Slalom courses.

The Dual Slalom event moves to a new location for 2026, with a course designed by mountain bike professional Kyle Strait. The competition includes categories such as beginner, intermediate, expert, para, non-binary, and junior.

The Brompton World Championship returns to the Americas on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Here, participants must run to their bikes, unfold them, and race on the Laguna Seca Raceway track to compete for the world title.

Additionally, an eMTB race returns on Friday, April 17, 2026. This event features three loops of 6 miles (approximately 9.6km) each, tackling steep climbs and technical descents. The full course map for this event is expected to be released on March 15, 2026.

Life Time, a US-based health and wellness company, operates more than 185 athletic country clubs and manages a portfolio of more than 30 athletic events. The Sea Otter Classic is now in its 36th year and remains a central fixture in the international cycling calendar.

According to Life Time, the event is built to celebrate the spirit of participation alongside professional competition. The full schedule for the 2026 edition is now available on the event website.
