Irvine to Host PTR SoCal Coach Development Day

Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) announced its Southern California Coach Development Day (CDD) will be held June 29, from 1-6pm, at Great Park Tennis Center in Irvine.  The CDD is being held in conjunction with the 9th Annual City of Irvine Tennis Seminar on Sunday, June 30.  

Coach Development Day presentation topics:

   • Keep Your Camps Fun & Fresh

   • How to Analyze & Correct Technical Issues     

   • Habits of Successful Coaches

   • On Court Coaching

Speakers include International Master Professional, Ken DeHart; Director of Tennis for the City of Fremont, Nigel Pugh; Karen Ronney, a respected 10 & Under specialist and author; and Bryan Fox, Director of Tennis Palisades Tennis Center.   PTR Development and Diversity Coordinator and award winning coach, Marc Stingley will emcee the event, which is followed by a social networking opportunity.

The 9th Annual City of Irvine Tennis Seminar, from 8am-5pm on June 30, is for coaches, players and parents.  Presenters include WTA player, Amanda Fink; PTR Master of Tennis- Performance, Dave Hagler; longtime coach and Maverick Leader, Bill Patton; Ken DeHart, Stella Sampras, Marc Stingley, and more.  The day culminates with a raffle for $5,000 in prizes including a Gamma stringing machine worth more than $1,300.
