Housekeeping Olympics Take Center Stage

Grand Pacific Resorts proudly hosted Cleaning for a Cause: Housekeeping Olympics Benefiting Christel House, a purpose-driven event that honored the extraordinary contributions of its housekeeping teams while raising essential support for Christel House Mexico City. The celebration brought together close to 250 attendees for a meaningful day of cultural appreciation, spirited competition, and lifting our community.
 

At the center of this special event is our heart of the house: Housekeeping is a major reason more than 100,000 families return to Grand Pacific Resorts each year. Their hard work forms the foundation of every memorable vacation, every Owner tradition, and every guest experience that defines the Grand Pacific Resorts brand. Cleaning for a Cause was designed to celebrate their dedication while recognizing the deep cultural roots shared by many associates across the organization.
 

This year’s Housekeeping Olympics held added significance by aligning the celebration with Christel House, a global nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through education, character development, and long-term support. Grand Pacific Resorts’ support directly benefited Christel House Mexico City, a school serving over 700 students. Because many of Grand Pacific Resorts’ housekeeping associates proudly originate from Mexico, this connection added a personal and meaningful dimension to the event.
 

The event was highlighted by the attendance of Tal Gilad, Senior Vice President of Development for Christel House International, who shared gratitude and insights into the organization’s mission. “The Grand Pacific Resorts Housekeeping Olympics was a powerful example of how culture, community, and purpose come together. We are deeply grateful to GPR for celebrating their teams while also investing in the life-changing mission of Christel House. Events like this remind us that when companies lead with values, the impact extends far beyond the workplace.”
 

Grand Pacific Resorts Co-President David S. Brown also addressed attendees, speaking about the transformative power of education and the importance of investing in future generations.
 

Thanks to the generosity of major donors—Fidelity National Timeshare, Legacy Resorts, HUB International, Zenith, and HBA Contract—along with contributions from all sponsors, a $50,000 donation will go to support 20 students at Christel House Mexico City for an entire year, providing healthcare, meals, transportation, and education.

The event concluded with a Sponsors Dinner recognizing the donors and partners whose generosity made this effort possible, reinforcing the growing partnership between Grand Pacific Resorts and Christel House.
