The California International Marathon, hosted by the Sacramento Running Association, will take place on Sunday, December 2, 2018.

Over 9,000 runners will start the race in Folsom and travel downhill through several neighbourhoods of Sacramento to eventually cross the finish line at the historic State Capitol.

Hyland’s is now on board as the Official Anti-Cramping Tablet of the California International Marathon. For 36 years, the California International Marathon (CIM) has been known as one of the US nation’s fastest courses, and a top Boston Marathon and US Olympic trials qualifying race. As the Official Cramp Relief Sponsor of the Boston Marathon, Hyland’s Leg Cramps is expanding its engagement with other marathons to ‘assist athletes of all abilities and backgrounds perform their best.’

“Supporting athletes of all disciplines has become a priority for Hyland’s,” said Senior Brand Manager, Lisa Shapiro. “We are proud to have our award-winning leg cramp products featured throughout the CIM race course and in the pockets of thousands of marathoners across the country.”

Over 9,000 runners will start the race in Folsom and travel downhill through several neighbourhoods of Sacramento to eventually cross the finish line at the historic State Capitol.

Hyland’s Leg Cramps product will be available at all on-course aid stations and at a designated ‘Anti-cramping Zone’. Hyland’s will also be one of 75 pre- and post- race exhibitors at the two-day long CIM Health and Fitness Expo, where attendees can sample the full Hyland’s line of products for athletes.

Representing Team Hyland’s in the marathon field will be six runners, under the guidance of USATF-certified running coach Mike Ehredt. These sponsored athletes include two returning members of Hyland’s 2018 Boston Marathon team of teachers, Adam Welcome and Meleah Shank. In addition the team includes: Marathon Maniac hall-of-famer Deo Jaravata, who will toe the line at CIM with over 450 marathons under his belt; Sarbajeet Naug, who became a runner to lose weight but will run CIM in pursuit of his second Boston qualification; Jason Klein, a medical student looking for redemption with a 2020 BQ after a tough Boston Marathon in 2018; and Lynn Tuchinda Peng, an ultrarunning cardiologist.
