More than 2,000 Cyclists Expected

Time is running out to enter the sixth annual Bike the Coast – Taste the Coast presented by Tri-City Medical Center (www.bike-the-coast.com). Entries close Monday, Oct. 5 at 11:59 pm.

The unique cycling event, food festival and sports expo – to be held Saturday, October 10 in Oceanside – has received 1,900 entries so far. More than 2,000 riders are expected to participate in this popular event.

“We’re delighted with the continued support from the cycling community,” said event organizer Jim Curl of Event Media, Inc. "We moved our date up three weeks this year (from Oct. 31 to Oct. 10) to accommodate one of our cities. We are grateful that our numbers have stayed strong.”

Bike the Coast is also pleased to introduce FIAT USA as its official vehicle. The event will showcase the all-new 2016 FIAT 500X. The 500X combines authentic Italian design with advanced drive systems, unmatched functionality, and a full array of safety, comfort and convenience features. Visitors can check out this vehicle at Bike the Coast.
