The McCourt Foundation, the organizer of the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon, has announced that entries for the 41st anniversary event on March 8, 2026, have sold out.
The 26.2 mile race reached its capacity more than two months before the event date. According to the organising team, this is the fastest pace for registrations that the event has ever recorded.
More than 26,000 registrations were reportedly received for the marathon, which follows the ‘Stadium-to-the-Stars’ course from Dodger Stadium to the finish line near Avenue of the Stars in Century City, CA.
While the main marathon field is full, prospective participants can still access the event through two specific channels. The Charity Half Marathon is available to those who fundraise for Team TMF or one of more than 100 non-profit partners.
Additionally, some official charity partners still hold limited full marathon entries for fundraisers. General entries also remain open for the LA 5K, which takes place at Dodger Stadium on March 7, 2025.
Stacy Embretson, Vice President and Race Director of the Los Angeles Marathon said “The sport of running and the 26.2-mile distance is more popular than ever. World-class running events like the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon bring worldwide attention and thousands of participants and spectators into the city.
“Running is becoming an ‘it’ sport, which is reflected in all things connected to the marathon, including participation and support for our associated programs. For those who didn’t act quickly enough to gain an entry, there are still limited opportunities to run while also supporting important causes through Team TMF.”
The race weekend also includes the LA Kids Run, part of the Kids Run LA Challenge. A two-day Lifestyle Expo will be held at Dodger Stadium on March 6–7, 2026. The expo is open to the public with no entry fee and is expected to attract around 70,000 attendees and 100 exhibitors.
The ASICS Los Angeles Marathon serves as the final event in the Conquer LA Challenge. This three-race series begins with the Santa Monica Classic in September, followed by the Rose Bowl Half Marathon & 5K in January.
The McCourt Foundation is a US-based non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization with offices in Boston, MA and Los Angeles, CA. It aims to support neurology research and has generated more than US$76 million for its charity partners since its inception in 1992.
