ASA Hosts the Halloween Bash and Mizuno College Showcase

Softball enthusiasts unite at fields all over the Placer County and surrounding areas for a weekend of sliding, sweating, and cheering. ASA Softball presents this year's Halloween Bash and College Preview Tournament. The weekend will host the most competitive teams, college coaches, and top notch officials from all over the Western US. ASA Tournaments and Placer Valley Tourism have partnered up to bring this giant sporting event to Placer Valley.

Softball tournaments are no stranger to the Placer County area. ASA Tournaments occur at least once a month for a majority of the year in this area. With so many going on, it takes something special to really set a tournament apart. This year's Halloween Bash and College Preview tournament definitely has that something special. On Friday October 18th, Maidu Park in Roseville will host the College Preview from 5-10pm. There will be anywhere from 30-60 coaches watching either online or live at any one time. For both the College Preview and the Halloween Bash, teams are coming from as far as Fresno, the Bay Area, Reno, NV, and even a team from Vancouver, Canada.

The Halloween Bash is open to teams in the age divisions of 10U-18U/Gold. With over 110 teams expected, this event will be a "batty" way to kick off Halloween festivities. There will be a costume contest on Saturday with prizes being offered for the best and most unique costumes. Because there are so many teams playing, umpires are in high demand. They will be coming from Reno, Stockton, and the Bay Area to help officiate the weekend.

Be sure to check out what is sure to be a grand slam of a weekend on October 18th-20th at parks in Roseville, Antelope, Folsom and Lincoln.
