Canadian Invasion: Ontario Terriers to Play Tucson Teams

The Canadians are coming.

The Ontario Terriers youth baseball club is traveling to Kino Sports Complex this weekend to take on nine local teams.

The Terriers’ 17U team won the Sandlott World Series in 2011.

Terriers teams will be taking on Tucson High School Badgers, Nogales High School Apaches, Tucson Dirtybirds and Tucson Xpress teams. The games will be at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium and at other Kino Sports Complex South baseball fields. Admission is free.

The event is the result of a partnership between Kino Sports Complex and Visit Tucson’s Sports Division.

The home of FC Tucson soccer includes a 1,000-seat North Grandstand soccer field, 2,900-seat North Stadium, and the 11,000-seat Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium.
