Archery is coming to Decatur, Alabama. Outdoor Nationals is actually three events that are held at the same location during the same week: the U.S. National Target Championships, the U.S. Open, and the Easton JOAD Nationals.
The U.S. National Target Championships consists of a double 72 arrow round, shot over two days, and serves as the qualification round for the U.S. Open.
The U.S. Open consists of head-to-head matchplay (elimination rounds), similar to the format of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Easton JOAD Nationals is a youth event for archers who are part of a Junior Olympic Archery Development Program (JOAD) Club. The Easton JOAD Nationals consists of a double 72 arrow qualification round, shot over two days; team rounds; and head-to-head matchplay (elimination rounds).
The U.S. National Target Championships and U.S. Open take place at the same time and at the same location as the Easton JOAD Nationals.
