Details Finalized for Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama

ZOOM Motorsports and Barber Motorsports Park announced the weekend schedule for the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama that will take place April 22-24, 2016. This year's weekend includes 11 races throughout the 3-day weekend and even more exciting on-track action than ever before.

The three-day weekend will again feature the Verizon IndyCar Series, Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires, Cooper Tires USF2000 powered by Mazda, Pirelli World Challenge Sports Car Series and Pro Mazda presented by Cooper Tires.

Sunday will start the day with the Legacy IndyLights race just before the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama where all the stars of the Verizon IndyCar Series will compete on the 17 turn, 2.38 mile road course for the title.

The 2016 event will again feature some the most dominant names in open wheel racing, including defending champion Josef Newgarden, Helio Castroneves, Will Power, Graham Rahal, Ryan Hunter Reay, Marco Andretti and more. The first six years of the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama have proven to be a resounding success with more than 80,000 fans attending each year from all over the world to see the exciting race weekend at spectacular Barber Motorsports Park.
