Michelle Russ and Mary Statkewicz Promoted in January 2014 for Outstanding Service to Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism and Sports Commission

Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism (CVB) is proud to announce that effective Jan. 1, 2014, Michelle Russ was promoted to director of sales for the Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Sports Commission (GSOBSC), and Mary Statkewicz was promoted to senior sales manager for meetings and conventions for the CVB.

“The promotions were a long time coming for these ladies for their tremendous achievements over the years for the CVB and sports commission,” said Beth Gendler, vice president of sales for the CVB and GSOBSC. “Michelle and Mary have worked tirelessly to make the Alabama Gulf Coast a meetings and sports haven, and I’m extremely proud of their successes.”

Aside from a commitment to promoting a family-friendly hotspot along Alabama’s 32 miles of white-sand beaches, the CVB is the driving force behind conventions and meeting sales as well as home to GSOBSC, a unit dedicated to attracting and supporting a broad range of sporting tournaments.
