High School Baseball

High School, Youth Baseball Events to Require Double First Bases

Beginning in the 2027 season, a double first base will be required on high school baseball fields to minimize the risk of collisions by runners and fielders, as well as to prevent running lane violations. Event owners, as well as venue operators, should take note since other youth baseball organizations have announced they will adopt this rule too.
