With New Funding, Fort Wayne Closes In On Lawn Bowls Facility

A few months back, SDM reported that the Fort Wayne Curling Club was bringing its A-game to promote a new sport: Lawn bowls. Lawn bowls, which uses the skills found in curling, but transfers them to grass rather than ice, is a great use of the offseason as well as a great community project. All the club needed was a facility. Here is a progress report.

Hotels Using Technology to Crack Down on Theft from Rooms

Towel theft from hotels (along with larceny of terrycloth robes and plenty of other items) used to cause enormous losses in the hospitality sector. Now, hotels have begun to fight back, embedding security chips in items – and taking legal action when items start going missing. Sometimes, it’s a charge but sometimes, it’s a ban on that guest.

The Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail (FOMNTT) is a nonprofit, nondenominational ministry.
