USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS) announced a continuation of their partnership with Erickson Metals Corp. This long-standing partnership has been in effect for almost 30 years, with the company providing high-quality supplies for USABS over the decades.

Founded in 1972, Erickson Metals began as a small operation and has grown into a nationwide, high-quality aluminum supplier. Erickson Metals maintains a complete stock of aluminum products to give their customers quick turn-around on all deliveries.

The corporation supplies various rod, bar, plate and sheet items utilized in the fabrication of the sleds and their shipping containers. The bobsleds, used in elite sliding competitions, are shipped around the world in containers sporting the Erickson name and logo.

In January 2016, Richard Erickson had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride on a bobsled called "The Night Train." He sped around the Park City, Utah track, reaching breakneck speeds of 83 mph. "It was an unbelievable experience," Richard said, "but I would never do it again." Fast forward to the present day, and his son Troy Erickson had the same privilege of racing down the same track on a bobsled. The Ericksons received the opportunity as a token of appreciation of Erickson Metals’ continued support and dedication to the USABS team.

“Our team here at Erickson Metals is once again honored to be a part of the USABS organization, along with the athletes, and the entire group of partners for over almost 30 years. It has truly been a pleasure to supply the team with the quality materials needed for their transportation needs. Go USA!” shared Troy Erickson, President of Erickson Metals Corp.

“We are extremely grateful for Erickson's continued partnership with USABS.

Erickson is the supplier of transportation equipment for our team’s sleds, such as the crates in which they are transported between the different countries as well as the runner holders, or scabbards, which protect the runners before and after the race. Our season would not be possible every year without their support!” shared Marc Van Den Berg, Technology and Equipment lead for USABS, about the continued partnership.
