Premier Rugby Sevens (PR7s), the first sports league founded on gender equality, announced GoodSport®, a woman-founded sports nutrition company, has been named the official sports drink of the U.S.-based league. GoodSport® products will fuel over 200 elite athletes who compete and train on 16 PR7s teams. Eight men’s and eight women’s rosters feature Olympians, Gold Medalists, U.S. National Team players, international superstars, and emerging talent. PR7s is preparing for its 2024 season and plans to announce its schedule in the weeks ahead.

“We’ve been growing our audience every year with young sports fans who are passionate about the fast-paced, electrifying competition of Premier Rugby Sevens,” said Adam Robbins, Chief Revenue Officer for Premier Rugby Sevens. “We are engaging with companies in new and exciting ways, and we’re thrilled to partner with GoodSport®. They have quality products with natural ingredients that our athletes and fans will love.”

As part of the partnership, the Northern Loonies of PR7s Western Conference will feature the GoodSport® logo on the front of their jerseys. They will have exclusive sideline placement at PR7s tournaments nationwide and be featured in PR7s content. They will also provide hydration to the players in all markets.

“We believe in the mission behind Premier Rugby Sevens, providing equal opportunity for all athletes to perform at the highest level of the sport in America,” said GoodSport Nutrition Founder & CEO Michelle McBride. “PR7s features some of the world’s most elite athletes. We’re proud to play a role in their performance on the field by keeping them hydrated and fueled with GoodSportt® products.”

GoodSport®, made with naturally sourced ingredients, has 3x the electrolytes and 33% less sugar than traditional sports drinks. It has been scientifically shown to provide rapid and long-lasting hydration and improve exercise performance.

PR7s is breaking down gender barriers for sports in the U.S. and has achieved several firsts since launching in 2021, including the first professional sports league to launch with equal pay for men and women athletes. It is also the first platform for women to play professional rugby in North America and the first league to create a United Championship where men’s and women’s results combine into one overall ranking.

In 2023, 28 Olympians participated in PR7s, including four gold medalists. The following is the PR7s conference breakdown with a men’s team and a women’s team competing for each franchise:
