While the battle for the title of National Champion won’t kick off until April, the 2024 women’s gymnastics season is officially underway. This year promises to be exciting, as the defending National Champions, the Oklahoma Sooners, are ranked number one in the way-too-early rankings for the 2024 season. Last year, fans witnessed Oklahoma, Utah, LSU and Florida compete in an exciting final session. Oklahoma claimed their sixth National Championship in eight years. The University of Florida finished second, followed by the University of Utah placing third and LSU placing fourth. All four of the 2023 Four on the Floor teams are projected as a top 10 team in the 2024 season.

Fans can get in on the action ahead of teams making their way to Fort Worth by selecting a college gymnastics team to cheer for. Mainstream sports fans can follow this guide to select a team. Ahead of April, the National Championship trophy will travel to Fort Worth, so locals and fans will have the chance to see the trophy up close. Last year’s trophy tour included the Fort Worth Zoo, the Museum of Science & History, City Hall, the Cattle Drive and more!
