Elite Volleyball Tournament Brings Economic Boost to York County

The Mid-Atlantic Power League Volleyball Tournament Returns This Weekend

The Mid-Atlantic Power League Volleyball Tournament returns to York for the seventh straight year this weekend, bringing more than 100 teams from as many as seven states.

More than 4,000 athletes and spectators from across the Mid-Atlantic will converge upon York as elite junior girls’ teams pack the York Expo Center’s Utz Arena and Memorial Hall West for the competition. About 120 teams will hail from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware and North Carolina.

The York County Convention & Visitors Bureau estimates that the event will generate more than $2.3 million in economic impact for the community.
