Change of Leadership at VisitPITTSBURGH

The Board of Directors of VisitPITTSBURGH announced that CEO Craig Davis has informed them of his intention to resign and pursue an opportunity outside of VisitPITTSBURGH. This became effective December 31, 2019. A nationwide search for VisitPITTSBURGH’s next CEO will begin immediately. The Board has appointed Jerad Bachar, current Executive Vice President of VisitPITTSBURGH, to lead the organization during this transition period.

Davis, who was CEO at VisitPITTSBURGH for the past seven years, joined the organization in 2000 as Vice President of Convention Sales.

“On behalf of our Board of Directors, I would like to thank Craig for his many contributions to VisitPITTSBURGH, and for growing the travel and tourism business sector in Pittsburgh and the greater region. Craig and his team at VisitPITTSBURGH have done an outstanding job at raising awareness of our great city and region domestically and internationally and for driving increased visitation,” said Bryan Iams, Chairman of VisitPITTSBURGH’s Board of Directors. “Craig’s numerous accomplishments in our sales and marketing efforts, as well as his leadership in assembling such a talented and experienced team will continue to benefit our city and the Greater Pittsburgh region.”

VisitPITTSBURGH is the official tourism marketing and promotion agency of the Pittsburgh region. The organization is dedicated to generating conventions, trade show and leisure travel.
