The Crunchy Dill Pickleball Doubles Tournament takes place June 7 – 8, 2014, at the Eugene Family YMCA Tennis Center in Eugene, Oregon.

For the uninitiated, Pickleball is a racquet sport that uses solid paddles to hit a perforated ball over a net (think of combining badminton, tennis, and table tennis, and you get pickleball). The pickleball court’s dimensions and layout are similar to those in badminton, with a net and rules comparable to tennis. The sport has been touted as one of the fastest growing in North America, and there is no shortage of tournaments around the U.S.

The tournament in Eugene will include men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles. Fees guarantee players at least two matches, plus Saturday dinner, Sunday lunch, and a weekend full of fun. It’s a great opportunity to meet other players from around the area of all ages and skill levels.

Sign-up information is available at this link.

Looking to learn the game or want to brush up on your skills? Don’t miss the pickleball clinic the evening of June 7 with practice drills plus pickleball techniques and strategies. Some of the world’s very best players will share their knowledge and expertise to get players ready for the next round of matches on Sunday, or to inspire new players to sign up for the tournament in 2015.
