Rock ‘n’ Roll® Running Series Las Vegas announced today a major update to the event with the Start Line Village and race Start Line having a new home beginning in 2024 at the epicenter of Las Vegas entertainment – Toshiba Plaza and New York-New York Hotel & Casino. It’s the first significant shift of the events pre-race entertainment and start line since the events debut on the Strip at Night.

Participants of the 2024 Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon and 10K will prepare for their race on Sunday, Feb. 25 in the all-new Start Line Village located on Toshiba Plaza, outside of T-Mobile Arena, home to the Stanley Cup Champions, the Vegas Golden Knights. With the Plaza sitting adjacent to New York-New York Hotel & Casino, runners and walkers alike will easily access The Strip at Night as they make their way to the southbound lanes of the closed Las Vegas Blvd. directly in front of the hotel and casino.

Known for playing a major role in Las Vegas being hailed as the Entertainment Capital of the World, Toshiba Plaza moves the previously off-Strip Start Line Village into the heart of the city, appropriately creating two acres of the ultimate kick-off celebration and experience for the World’s Largest Running Party. Participants will be able to enjoy a multitude of entertainment options as they join the festivities and prepare to run. Friends, family and race day supporters will be able to enjoy a variety of restaurants with a front-row seat to the start of the race.

“We are thrilled to continue to be the only private event to shut down the entire Las Vegas Strip doing so since 2005 and then moving to a night event in 2011, creating the ultimate nighttime running experience. Moving our Start Line Village and overall Start Line is arguably one of the largest moves since the event’s debut on the Strip at night,” said Nicole Christenson, Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series Las Vegas Race Director. “After listening to our participants feedback and working through different available options, we are confident the transition to these iconic venues along The Strip will create an experience that will not only elevate the entertainment opportunities for the World’s Largest Running Party, but additionally enhance the race day experience for everyone through ease of location and removing pre-race obstacles runners previously had to navigate.”

While much attention has been focused on F1, the latest event to hit The Strip, Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas is one of the very first large-scale events to ever take over the famed Las Vegas Strip when it did so in 2005, it also is the only one to date that gives attendees the opportunity to be on the ground in the action at one of the world’s major attractions.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Running Series is a best-in-class running series Bringing Fun to the Run® through music, entertainment, and community immersion all combining in Las Vegas to provide an unforgettable running tour of the Strip at Night. With a distance for everyone, including half marathon, 10K and 5K, the unique running party will once again invite runners, athletes, tourists, locals, and party enthusiasts from around the world to take to the street, passing iconic sights including the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign, The Fountains of Bellagio and Downtown Las Vegas, finishing mid-Strip at The Mirage Hotel & Casino. Eventgoers will discover music, lights and live entertainment stationed along the course, in addition to a multitude of experiences and events throughout the weekend. The race is sure to bring the spirit of Las Vegas out of the casinos and onto the course.

For those just starting out, looking for the perfect lead into the 10K or Half Marathon, or just wanting to join the party, a welcoming, fun, and entertaining 5K and Fan Fest is available at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24. This evening 5K is steps from the Saturday Night Experience at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center and finishes on Fremont Street under SlotZilla, the world’s largest slot machine.
