Fredericktown, MO, to Hold Whitewater Championships

The Missouri Whitewater Association (MWA) will be holding the 50th Annual Missouri Whitewater Championships over the weekend of March 17-19 at the Millstream Gardens Conservation Area of the Saint Francis River near Fredericktown, MO. Full information is available at this link.

The event consist of slalom, downriver and boatercross races for kayaks, canoes and SUPs for all ages and skill levels, on class II-III whitewater. It’s thrilling to race and exciting to watch. Spectators are welcome, and both viewing and parking are free.

Concessions provided by local non-profit, including hot breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks.

Friday:

  • 4:30 p.m.: Downriver Race

  • 6 p.m.: Live Music at Silver Mines

Saturday:

  • 6:30 a.m.: Open Practice

  • 9:30 a.m.: Olympic/Expert/Novice

  • Noon: Plastic/Age groups/Canoe Single/Stand up Paddleboard

  • 6 p.m.: Banquet

Sunday:

  • 6:30 a.m.: Open practice

  • 8:30 a.m.: Boatercross

  • 10:30 a.m.: Single kayak, long & short/Open Canoe Solo/Open Canoe 2-person

  • 4 p.m.: Awards/raffles
