Why:         This large bowling tournament returns to Rockford after a three-year absence. Rockford and RACVB last hosted the Illinois State United States Bowling Congress Bowling Association Championship Tournament in 2021. This tournament travels around the state and Rockford was awarded this year’s tournament. The tournament is expected to see over 1,000 teams registered, with an average of four people per team. More than 4,000 bowlers are expected over the course of the seven-weekend tournament.

“The Illinois USBC tournament will bring thousands of visitors to our region over the course of seven weekends and we want to say thank you to the organizers, facility staff and local volunteers for making this tournament possible,” said Lindsay Arellano, RACVB vice president of sales & servicing. “We expect these visitors to fill over 1,500 hotel room nights booked and while here we estimate they will spend more than $730,000.”
