Throughout the month of March, Visit Panama City Beach will host 52 college club baseball teams from the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) and 7 softball teams from the National Club Softball Association (NCSA) at Swing into Spring. This spring training event welcomes teams from across the country to practice and play competitive club ball at Panama City Beach’s premier sports tourism and recreation venue, Publix Sports Park.

“We are thrilled to host these athletes and fans in our destination and showcase all that Panama City Beach has to offer,” said Dan Rowe, Visit Panama City Beach President and CEO. "From the state-of-the-art Publix Sports Park facility to our beautiful beaches and beyond, these collegiate teams will be able to experience the very best of our destination this spring.”

Swing into Spring brings together collegiate club baseball and softball programs in Panama City Beach for a series of exciting matchups, with free admission for fans at every game. Softball teams in attendance include the U.S. Air Force Academy, University of Florida, Grand Valley State University, University of Illinois, University of Iowa, Northern Illinois, and Xavier University. For baseball, the event features teams from 18 states with 8 teams holding spots in the national top 20. In addition to reigning champions Virginia Tech, top teams include University of Iowa, East Carolina University, University of Illinois, Miami University, Ohio State University, Penn State University, and University of Pittsburgh.

“After more than a decade of anticipation for the construction of this facility, the Publix Sports Complex has exceeded all of our expectations,” said Sandy Sanderson, CEO of CollClubSports. “With the pandemic delaying our relocation of this Swing into Spring event to 2022, we now feel like kids getting to open our Christmas presents a day late. We can’t be more excited to finally be playing ball in this amazing facility and we hope we will be calling it our home for the next decade or more.”
