Organizers Also Announce Five-Year Extension to Hosting Agreement

RONMAN and the Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau have agreed to a five-year partnership renewal to keep the Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN® Florida triathlon, part of the VinFast IRONMAN North America Series, and the Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN® 70.3® Gulf Coast triathlon in Panama City Beach, Florida through 2029. Additionally, the title partnership agreement, which has been instrumental in the success of these events, has also been extended through the same period. The 25th edition of the Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN Florida triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023. General registration for next year’s edition, taking place on Nov. 2, 2024, is scheduled to open on Nov. 13, 2023* at www.ironman.com/im-florida-register. The next edition of the Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN 70.3 Gulf Coast triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024, with general registration now open at www.ironman.com/im703-gulf-coast-register. “Panama City Beach has been an incredible partner, and we are thrilled to continue this journey putting on two remarkable events annually and solidifying this community as one of the premier destinations for triathletes from around the world,” said Scott Langen, Regional Director for The IRONMAN Group. “The local support, dedicated volunteers, and enthusiastic team at the Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau have ensured the enduring success of these events. The Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN Florida triathlon begins with a 2.4-mile Gulf swim around the Russel-Fields Pier, followed by a 112-mile ride through the beautiful Florida pines forest, and caps off with a 26.2-mile run along the spectator-filled shoreline on Front Beach Road towards the finish line at Pier Park. The Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN 70.3 Gulf Coast triathlon follows a similar route that includes a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, and a 13.1-mile run that begins and ends at Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort in beautiful Panama City Beach. The 2023 edition of the Visit Panama City Beach IRONMAN Florida triathlon will see a stellar field of professional athletes descend on Florida’s Panhandle to compete for a combined professional prize purse of $100,000. Many of the world’s best, including Magnus Ditlev (DNK), Rudy Von Berg (USA), Denis Chevrot (FRA), Skye Moench (USA), Jen Annett (CAN) and Giorgia Priarone (ITA) will toe the start line in Panama City Beach looking for a late season title to add to their resume.
