The Delray Beach Pickleball Club has teamed up with Delray Beach Parks and Recreation for pickleball, a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.
Whether indoors or outdoors, the games are played on a badminton-sized court with a slightly modified tennis net, paddle and a plastic ball with holes. It’s one of the country’s fastest-growing sports and a game the entire family can play together.
The public is invited to the "Delray Beach Gamma Pickleball Classic" on Friday November 17 through Sunday November 19 at the Delray Beach Tennis Center. In addition to competitive play on a number of levels, all participants can learn the fundamentals of the game, participate in a trial game, and learn more information about the game on Thursday November 16, 2017. The event is free and all ages are welcome.
