We are excited to spotlight our sport with the Pikes Peak Swim Run Series and bring multisport events to Olympic City USA. I encourage the entire Olympic and Paralympic Movement community to get involved,” said Victoria Brumfield, USA Triathlon Chief of Staff and Chief Business Development Officer. “Thank you to Select Physical Therapy and Pikes Peak Athletics for being tremendous partners in hosting these fun, participation-based swim-run events.”

The rest of the Pikes Peak Swim Run Series includes five Youth Splash & Dash races held at Pikes Peak Athletics. The series of Splash & Dash events is a part of USA Triathlon’s goal to increase opportunities and access to multisport events for current and prospective youth multisport athletes. The first Youth Splash & Dash of the series is April 24, as part of an open house weekend at Pikes Peak Athletics, featuring food trucks, kids activities, program demonstrations and more. To register for the April 24 Youth Splash & Dash, visit the event’s website here. Cost is $30; Pikes Peak Athletics will cover the $10 cost for a USA Triathlon Youth Annual Membership if the participant isn’t an annual member.

With a focus on participation and fun, rather than competition, Youth Splash & Dash events are designed to introduce youth athletes between the ages of 7 and 15 to the multisport lifestyle through the unique discipline of aquathlon (swim-run).

At all Splash & Dash events, participants ages 7-10 will complete a 100-meter pool swim and an approximate 1-kilometer run, while athletes ages 11-15 will complete a 200m pool swim and an approximate 2k run.
