Autobahn Indoor Speedway Announces Grand Opening Events

On Tuesday, September 15, Autobahn Indoor Speedway will host a day of grand opening celebrations for their new location in Birmingham, AL featuring games, food and fun for all ages. The grand opening will benefit The Boys and Girls Ranches of Alabama.

Hundreds of racing fans are invited to attend! Notable attendees will include:

  • Autobahn Indoor Speedway Partners, Ownership and Management

  • City of Bessemer Officials and County Chambers of Commerce and the Birmingham Business Alliance

  • Representatives from The Boys and Girls Ranches of Alabama

  • Tom Monroe, Hall of Fame Member, Professional Disc Golf Association

Timeline:

12:00pm – 2:00pm – PDGA Hall of Fame Member Tom Monroe to teach the game of Disc Golf

1:00pm – 2:00pm – Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - The Bessemer City Council and Chamber of Commerce, and Autobahn’s Ownership and Management cut the ribbon on the racetrack.

Birmingham Area Residents Racing – People of all ages racing around the Monaco style tracks in helmets and top of the line go-karts.

Hall of Famer Teaching Disc Golf –Families and friends learning the game by Hall of Famer Tom Monroe.

Games & Fun for Families – Indoor and outdoor lawn and arcade games for all ages.

Autobahn Indoor Speedway, one of the nation’s premier indoor go-karting facilities, will celebrate the GRAND OPENING of its Birmingham location on September 15, 2015 with a daylong fundraiser celebration to benefit The Boys and Girls Ranches of Alabama. The Grand Opening event will include a ceremonial ribbon cutting, indoor and outdoor yard and arcade games, appearances and instruction from Tom Monroe, Hall of Fame Member, Professional Disc Golf Association and chances to win prize packages.

Autobahn Indoor Speedway will donate 50 percent of all proceeds from races held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 to The Boys and Girls Ranches of Alabama, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing family-style residential homes for Alabama's needy, neglected, or abused, school-age children in an atmosphere where they may grow spiritually and physically into productive, responsible, and happy adults.
