Racing continues in Calgary, Park City and Altenberg This Week

The international competitive season is in full swing with a series of races hosted around the world this week. The World Cup prepares to kick off in Calgary, Canada with the Winsport World Push Challenge in the Ice House on Saturday at 7 pm MT. Push athletes will battle one another for the coveted title of world push champion. The North American Cup tour continues on the 2002 Olympic track in Park City, Utah with a three-race series, while the European Cup will begin it's circuit on the challenging course in Altenberg, Germany.

Annie O'Shea (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.), Veronica Day (Vienna, Va.), Gracie Clapp (Jacksonville, Fla.), Megan Henry (Roxbury, Conn.) and Kellie Delka (Denton, Texas) are scheduled to compete in Park City's women's skeleton North American Cup races. Men's skeleton competitors include Greg West (Orange Beach, Ala.), Austin McCrary (Colleyville, Texas), Trent Kraychir (Desert Hot Springs, Calif.) and Mike Rogals (Orwell, Vt.). 

Codie Bascue (Whitehall, N.Y.), Jake Peterson (Princeton, Minn.), Jay Noller (San Antonio, Texas) and Colin Coughlin (Fishkill, N.Y.) will pilot the men's bobsleds entered into the North American Cup races.  Elana Meyers (Douglasville, Ga.), Jazmine Fenlator (Wayne, N.J.) and Jamie Greubel (Newtown, Pa.) wrapped up training on the 2014 Olympic track in Sochi, Russia and will start their competitive season with the North American Cup series in Park City. Bree Schaaf (Bremerton, Wash.) will look to repeat her medal performance from last week as she continues her season.

The Park City race schedule is as follows, with all times listed in local time:

Thursday, Nov. 21

9 am: Women's and men's skeleton race 3

2 pm: Women's and men's two-man bobsled race 3

Friday, Nov. 22

9 am: Women's and men's skeleton race 4

2 pm: Women's and men's two-man bobsled race 4

Saturday, Nov. 23

9 am: Women's and men's skeleton race 5

2 pm: Women's and men's two-man bobsled race 5

Tuesday, Nov. 26

9 am: Men's four-man bobsled race 3

3 pm: Men's four-man bobsled race 4

Wednesday, Nov. 27

10 am: Men's four-man bobsled race 5

Kevin McGlade (Stafford, Va.), Alex Ivanov (Calisle, Mass.), Lauri Bausch (Fredonia, Wisc.) and Meghan Sullivan (Bluemont, Va.) will represent the U.S. in the skeleton races on the European Cup tour. The U.S. will not enter any sleds in the bobsled races. The Altenberg skeleton race schedule is as follows, with all times listed in local time:

Saturday, Nov. 23

9 am: Women's and men's skeleton race 2
