Cary, NC to Host 2011 USA Swimming Southern Zone Age Group Championships

The Triangle Aquatic Center in Cary, NC has been selected as the site for the 2011 USA Swimming Southern Zone Age Group Championships.

The July event is expected to bring more than 600 swimmers from 11 states to the Greater Raleigh area, generating more than 1500 hotel room nights and nearly $500,000 in direct visitor spending. Cary was selected over Dallas and Tallahassee, FL.

Partners in the successful bid included N.C. Swimming, the Raleigh Swimming Association, the Triangle Aquatic Center and the Greater Raleigh CVB.
