The Undy 5000, a family-friendly 5K run/walk that was created by the Colon Cancer Alliance, has released its schedule for 2013 and 2014. The event will be held in a variety of cities across the U.S.
The event is unique because participants are encouraged to run in their boxers to bring attention to the area of the body affected by colon cancer.

Tacoma, WA - June 29
Jersey Shore, NJ - July 20
Nashville, TN - August 17
Philadelphia, PA - September 14
Piedmont Triad, NC - September 21
Washington, DC - September 28
Cincinnati, OH - October 12
Peoria, IL - October 19
Dallas, TX - October 26
Atlanta, GA - November 2
Phoenix, AZ - November 16

Most Undy 5000 5K courses are USATF certified. Unless otherwise noted, the 5K will be timed. When timed, awards will be given in categories, including: Top fundraising team, Top fundraising individual, Top 3 colon cancer survivor finishers - male and female, Top overall runner - male and female, Top 3 youth runners (6-13) & (14-19) - male and female, Top 3 runners per 10-year age group - males and females, Best individual costume and Best team costume.
