Two Ski Resorts to Offer Downhill Sport Events for the Blind

USABA-Sponsored Festivals to Take Place in Breckenridge, Killington

The United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) is getting into winter with two ski festivals in 2014.  Beginner and advanced skiers of all ages are welcome to apply to be a part of its Winter Ski Festivals in Breckenridge, Colorado and Killington, Vermont. 

The festivals are designed to teach on-snow skills as well as to refine existing skills. Registration allows individuals to state preferences for rental equipment, as well as for a schedule of events. They also provide social events including dinner. 

USABA will be partnering with Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sport to host the first festival from February 7-10, 2014.  The festival in Breckenridge is sponsored by Anthem Life. USABA will be partnering with the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center from March 5-9, 2014.
