Sports Events Offered to Military, Active Duty Service Members

The United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA), through grant funding by the Department of Veterans Affairs Adaptive Sport Program, is pleased to announce a tentative 2015 calendar of programs in cycling, rowing, skiing, goalball and a multi-sport Summer Sport Festival. Military Veterans and Active Duty Service Members with visual impairments are eligible for funding to attend these events. We are moving forward to secure dates for all of these events and will send out more information and links to apply for each program.

2015 Events:

  • February 6-9 - 8th Annual Winter Ski Festival (Pico, Vermont)

  • February - Goalball Development Camp (Location TBD)

  • March 4-8 - 4th Annual Winter Ski Camp (Breckenridge, Colorado)

  • April - Goalball Development Camp (Location TBD)

  • May - Cycling Development Camp (Colorado Springs, Colorado)

  • Late May/Early June - Rowing Development Camp (Location TBD)

  • July 15-20 - Summer Sports Festival (Colorado Springs, Colorado)

  • September - Cycling Development Camp (Colorado Springs, Colorado)
