The first Electronics Sports Competition (ES_COM), the largest eSports and Gaming Festival of Southern Germany, will take place July 3-7, 2019, at the International Congress Center Munich (ICM). The successful start of the eSports Arena in February at ISPO Munich has already shown that there is a great interest in digital sports.

The festival occurs within the framework of ISPO Digitize Summits, the digital conference for the sports business. "The interest in eSports is growing rapidly worldwide. The digital sport is gaining new fans every day, the market is correspondingly large," explains Christoph Rapp, project manager of the ISPO Digitize Summits. "With the Electronics Sports Competition we are offering the eSports community a new home. Beyond that participants of the event will have the ideal opportunity to experience the world of eSports live and make first contacts with important influencers.”

The five-day program offers hobby, amateur and semi-professional teams as well as pro teams to take part in games such as League of Legends, Rocket League, FIFA 19, Race Room, Mario Kart, Smash Bros. Ultimate or Just Dance. One of the highlights will take place on Sunday, July 7, with the world's largest offline FIFA tournament and 1,000 participants.
