The Ozone Collegiate Gymnastics Classic presented by Texas Roadhouse will take place at the Knoxville Convention Center on Saturday, January 18th at 8:00pm.  This will be the most prestigious gymnastics competition to come to Knoxville since the 1996 US Gymnastics Championships used to qualify gymnasts to the Olympic Games in Atlanta.  Teams attending this NCAA competition are the University of Alabama Crimson Tide (ranked #2nd nationally), University of Kentucky Wildcats (ranked # 21st nationally), and University of Nebraska Cornhuskers (ranked 10th nationally).  The competition will also be televised on January 24th on the CSS Network (Comcast Sports)

The University of Kentucky team features former Knoxville gymnast Audrey Harrison, one of the nation’s top NCAA all-around gymnasts from last year.  Audrey is a senior at the University of Kentucky.  She grew up in West Knoxville, graduated from CAK High School, and competed for Premier Athletics on Callahan Drive as a Junior Olympic gymnast under coaches Sasha & Natsha Gridnev and Lea Emery.  Audrey won seven NCAA all-around titles in competitions last season and hopes to have the same success in her last opportunity to compete in Knoxville.
