USA Climbing to Start Marketing Campaign Ahead of 2020 Games

With the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) recent announcement of sport climbing’s inclusion in the 2020 Tokyo Games, USA Climbing has retained the services of Gilco Sports and Entertainment Marketing LLC to ramp up marketing and help grow the sport.

“In remaining true to our mission of ensuring success and growing the sport of climbing, we’re very excited to announce our partnership with Gilco Sports,” said Kynan Waggoner, CEO of USA Climbing. “The Gilco team will work alongside our team to develop best-in-class marketing strategies, while also facilitating corporate partnerships with great brands.”

USA Climbing is the United States National Governing Body for the sport of competition climbing. The organization manages the disciplines of bouldering, speed and sport climbing as well as the collegiate and adaptive series. The organization also hosts IFSC World Cup events and sends athletes to participate in the IFSC’s World Cup circuit and the World Climbing and Adaptive Climbing Championships.
