RacerMate, a partner of USA Triathlon, discontinued its production of new CompuTrainer equipment in March and will no longer sell CompuTrainers once current inventory is exhausted. Moving forward, the company will focus on manufacturing the Velotron, its electronic bicycle ergometer.

Through the CompuTrainer Replacement Parts Program, CompuTrainer owners have access to purchase replacement parts for 50 percent of standard retail value. By replacing older parts, CompuTrainer owners can keep their equipment in optimal condition and maintain the effectiveness and quality of their bike trainers over time. When CompuTrainers are properly maintained, they commonly last for 15 to 20 years.

“The CompuTrainer Replacement Parts Program reaffirms RacerMate’s commitment to USA Triathlon by providing a solution for our members, many of whom are loyal CompuTrainer owners,” said USA Triathlon Chief Marketing Officer Chuck Menke. “This program will allow triathletes across the country to affordably maintain their current CompuTrainer equipment so that it may last for years to come.”

From now through May 31, CompuTrainer owners may purchase CompuTrainer’s Individual Home User Membership for $100. Business Memberships, intended for use by coaches, clinics or groups, are available for $200. Each membership lasts three years and entitles members to a 50 percent discount on all replacement parts.

To take advantage of the discounted prices, memberships must be purchased by May 31. Parts can be purchased online at RacerMateInc.com at the 50 percent discount at any point during the three-year membership, and all memberships are renewable.
