GCI Outdoor, creator of portable, durable outdoor recreation equipment, is proud to sponsor the 365-Mile Challenge. Designed to engage mothers and get them outside for one mile of self-propelled adventure every day this year, the Challenge encourages outdoor activity as an integral part of a healthy lifestyle.

Conceived and managed by a group of outdoor bloggers and busy mothers, the 365-Mile Challenge provides a support network to motivate moms to stay active all year round with incentives provided throughout the year. GCI will be donating several products to be given away between April 1 and June 30.

“As a working mother employed in the outdoor industry, I know first-hand the challenges that come along with a career, raising a family and keeping active,” said Amy Newton, marketing manager with GCI. “Even small amounts of activity outside can have a big impact on overall well-being, but sometimes it’s hard to find the motivation to stay active. Therefore, we see a lot of value in this program and are happy to support it.”

Hosted by a collection of outdoorsy moms and bloggers, including Rebecca Walsh, Hike Like a Woman; Alyssa Erickson, Kid Project; Kathy Dalton, Go Adventure Mom; Amelia Mayer, Tales of a Mountain Mama and Jess Curren, Currently Wandering, the 365-Mile Challenge kicked off on January 1 and will continue through December 31, 2018.

For those who would still like to get involved, there will be an additional registration window opening March 19-20 with “mini challenges” hosted throughout the year.
