Direct Energy Partnership Provides Preferred Benefit for USBC Members
12 May, 2014
Direct Energy and the United States Bowling Congress have agreed on a sponsorship and member benefit package that will provide USBC members in select states the opportunity to receive preferred prices on energy services.
Direct Energy, a fully integrated energy company, is the one of the largest retail providers of electricity, natural gas, and home services in North America. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Centrica, one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies.
“Direct Energy is excited to welcome USBC members into our vast network of customers, making available the latest in innovation and technology for the electricity consumer to power a home,” said Mike Beck, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Direct Energy. “Our plans aim to give the consumer the knowledge and control they want at any level, with products such as Free Power Saturdays that offers a competitive price the rest of the week while letting consumers do major everyday activities when they have the time, which is often during the weekend.”
The multi-year agreement offers USBC members the opportunity to receive a preferred price on residential energy services. The offer only can be made available in states allowing for direct consumer choice of energy providers.
“We appreciate Direct Energy’s support of bowling and willingness to provide a great value on energy services for USBC members,” USBC Managing Director of Marketing and Communications Jason Overstreet said. “Every night in bowling leagues across the country teammates help each other with advice, on and off the lanes. We are excited to introduce Direct Energy to our members and help put money back in bowlers’ pockets.”
Details on the Direct Energy program soon will be available to USBC members in select states and the Houston-based company intends to expand its presence in the coming years.
