Corey Pegram has been appointed the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Business and Development Coordinator. Pegram began his duties with the ITA on June 19.

"I'd like to welcome Corey to the Valley of the Sun and #TeamITA," said ITA CEO Timothy Russell. "A well-rounded individual, Corey will have an instrumental role in strengthening existing partnerships, establishing new relationships with organizations that will bolster the ITA brand, as well as assisting with fundraising efforts. He is a great addition to our talented ITA staff."

In his role as Business and Development Coordinator, Pegram will also provide support to ITA special events, including the ITA Coaches Convention, and help with marketing efforts to grow the overall membership.

Pegram graduated from Wake Forest University in 2013 with a degree in Business and Enterprise Management. He went on to found Vantage Hoops, a high school basketball event company and scouting service in Virginia that was later sold to Prep Hoops Network.

"I'm really excited for Corey to join #TeamITA," said ITA Director of Special Projects and Assistant to the CEO Rachel Dagen. "His experience in collegiate athletics and development efforts will help us with our events and assist in continuing to execute on our strategic initiatives."

Prior to joining the ITA, Pegram received his Masters in Sport Leadership and his M.BA. from Virginia Commonwealth University. While at VCU, he worked for the Ram Athletic Fund as a graduate assistant. He was part of a six-member team that was responsible for raising $3.6 million annually for VCU Athletics.

"I am thankful for this unbelievable opportunity with the ITA," said Pegram. "I grew up playing and loving tennis and am extremely passionate about what the sport can do for young people. I look forward to joining a great staff and growing the exciting sport of college tennis."
